Lincoln Method’s students, Alena Saleem and Innyah Zubair attended an event on UN SDGs organized by Global Compact Network Pakistan at Marriott Hotel Karachi on 26th August, 2019. These two bright ladies definitely stole the show!
Alena presented how Lincoln Method is supporting Quality Education (SDG #4) in Pakistan by getting students ready for future jobs, and teaching them STEM, Robotics and Blockchain.
Innayah gave a speech to all the attendees on the importance of conserving resources like water and how it is important for her generation and others to come.
Mr. Saleem Qureshi, Chairman of Lincoln Method, along with Mariam Jabbar, Project Manager, attended the event. The agenda of this workshop was to highlight the importance of SDGs and how organizations can work towards helping Pakistan achieve these SDGs by adopting and integrating them in their businesses.
Amongst the participants of the workshop were KE, Artistic Apparels, PARCO and Hamdard University. The representatives of respective organizations shared what difficulties they overcame and shared valuable feedback.
Mr. Saleem Qureshi also talked about his experience when he visited the UN SDG Action Awards last year. He shared useful tips for how businesses can adopt SDGs and make it their strength, rather than just a small mandatory CSR activity.
