Do You Fear Losing Your Job?
Peter is in his mid-50s, he has a cushy job as a VP of Procurement at a retail chain, and he is looking forward to retiring in a few years. But there is a big problem!
Peter’s company has bought a very robust supply chain management technology, and Peter is about to get fired!
This is a very real problem globally, because a lot of other people like Peter have not kept up with technological innovation, some have even fought it, and as a result, the Peters are not ready to play their roles in running the business units.
In hindsight, what could Peter have done so that he would not have been replaced by technology?
What if Peter had access to a learning tool that would give Peter access to a playlist of videos relevant to technological innovations to his industry? Building further on this thought process, what if Peter was subscribed into an online program that would continually push content to Peter, ensuring he was staying abreast of technical innovations globally?
Singapore-based EdTech startup SkillUpz has partnered with Lincoln Method, and has collectively taken on the responsibilities to ensure that people like Peter (of all ages, and in any role) would always be ready and prepared for changes in the workplace. SkillUpz has a library of short learning programs that allow people, like Peter, to take a series of assessments that help them identify what they do not know, and then provides Peter with a playlist of videos that discuss topics that Peter does not know. SkillUpz also provides Peter with additional reading material and talking points so that Peter can be fluent in that subject.
The true impact of SkillUpz is realized when Peter re-takes the assessment and is able to see how his (knowledge) score has improved.
The SkillUpz learning programs are specifically designed to keep Peter interested and engaged throughout his career progression. It’s a very cost-effective solution that continually provides Peter with the subject knowledge that he needs when he needs it.
SkillUpz is powered by Lincoln Method, which is developing rule-based algorithms to help understand how to improve the learning experience of people like Peter.
