Q: What is the “Scholarship for Entrepreneurship & AI”?

A: It’s a unique course designed in collaboration with the City of Fontana, aiming to teach students how to use Machine Learning (AI) Tools and make them highly sought-after by future employers. This course is a part of the “Becoming a Problem Solver” initiative.

 

Q: Who are the key collaborators for this scholarship program?

A: This scholarship program is a collaborative effort between the Mayor Warren’s Education Coalition (MEC) of Fontana and the Lincoln Method.

 

Q: What are the main objectives of the “Become a Problem Solver” project?

A: The project aims to:

  • Teach students how to devise solutions for everyday problems.
  • Educate students on how to market their solutions.
  • Impart knowledge on utilizing AI tools in problem-solving.

Q: How many scholarships are available for this program, and what is their value?

A: We’re offering 50 scholarships, each valued at $350, for a 1-month period.

 

Q: What if more than 50 students are interested and choose to participate?

A: Additional students will be placed on a waiting list. Lincoln Method and Mayor’s Education Coalition will work together to secure more sponsors to fund Scholarships for the additional students. Once additional Scholarships are available, waitlisted students will be notified and they can take action to begin the program.

 

Q: How does it work?

A: We provide private tutors for after-school online classes. Each student receives their own personal lesson plan, which contains lots of worksheets and training videos for every topic where the student wants to learn. The students work with the tutor to make sure that they get ahead. Here is a video of how our students work with our tutors:

Q: What will the students achieve by the end of this scholarship program?

A: Students will be equipped with skills to solve community problems using AI tools, design marketing materials using AI, engage their target audience,
and possibly sell their solution. The tangible outcome will be videos created by each student showcasing their mastery of AI tools for problem-solving.

Q: What is the success rate of the Lincoln Method?

 

A:  Lincoln Method has a very high success rate this is because our tutor pays special attention to specific areas of academic weakness. 

Q: How will the success of this program be documented and showcased?

A: Students will document their learning journey through videos, which will be compiled to highlight the effectiveness of the program. These success stories will be shared with policymakers and the media to demonstrate the progress made by the City of Fontana under Mayor Warren’s leadership.

Q: What kind of support will Lincoln School provide during this course?

A: Lincoln School will supply comprehensive learning modules, a live tutor for each class, and access to various AI tools.

Q: Who is eligible for the “Scholarship for Entrepreneurship & AI”?

A: Deserving students keen on leveraging this opportunity to learn about AI tools, collaborate with peers online, and make a positive impact in their community are encouraged to apply.

Q: Can you show an example of what kids will be able to learn in our previous programs?

 

A: In our previous programs, kids were learning about how to use AI tools to launch their own businesses.

A: We expect that:

  • Students will learn how to devise and potentially monetize solutions.
  • Students will become proficient in various AI tools.

A: As artificial intelligence creeps into all areas of the workplace, our goal is to transform students into problem solvers. We do this by making sure that all students learn how to leverage artificial intelligence and grow themselves in 4 key areas:
